Initiative Bolsters Talent
This week we have announced a number of developments that will be pivotal in implementing our growth strategy for Initiative and transforming the business in the UK and EMEA.
Firstly, we are in the process of creating an international ‘powerhouse’ for Initiative here in London, which will see new leadership roles across Client Services, Consumer Insight & Analytics and Strategy. Spearheaded by Richard Morris, these roles will be integrated across UK and EMEA, allowing us to build scale and expertise centrally that can be used for th benefit of local markets as well as EMEA-led pitches. Our leadership hub will also allow us to strengthen our Culture proposition across the region, and will allow us to behave in the flexible and agile way that we know our clients are asking for.
As part of that team, the highly accomplished James Shoreland has just joined the company as Chief Client Officer for the UK & EMEA. His role will be to provide vision and direction to senior client leaders across the region, building and nurturing a community of excellence in client management, and leading Initiative’s charge to be the agency of Culture. He will also be pivotal in our new business charge, and brings with him a brilliant track record in securing world-class accounts.
James joins us from Publicis Groupe’s global media network, Blue 449, where he was Managing Director. His experience spans both the creative and media worlds, and during his diverse and hugely entrepreneurial career he has led strategy across global brands including British Airways, Disney Studios and Toyota.
For the UK specifically, we are equally pleased to welcome Jed Hallam, who will join Initiative UK as Chief Strategy Officer in January. Jed joins our network from Mindshare, where he was Head of Strategy and the youngest managing partner in the network. He will be working alongside Richard Morris, focusing on the strategic output of the agency, developing the agency vision and capabilities, and ensuring that Initiative’s clients grow their brands.
