Celebrating Highlights Of 2018

For the past two months, we have featured our very own art gallery in the building reception of SJS. You will have seen the recent change in artwork, with the exhibition now featuring some of the best campaigns from across the IPG Mediabrands in the past year.

The end of the year is time to celebrate our effort, achievement and all of the amazing work we have produced in 2018. Many of these campaigns were powered by inter-agency collaboration, testament to the deep integration that sits at the heart of IPG Mediabrands.

The past year has been an extraordinary time for IPG Mediabrands.

We have had some extremely impressive award wins: a Cannes Lion, Campaign Media Award, Media Week Award and multiple UK Content Awards, to name just a few. Additionally, Stickyeyes was named number one of The Prolific North Top 50 Digital Agencies, for the 3rd year in a row. And, for the second year in a row Mubaloo was named as a Top App Developer in the UK by Business of Apps!

We have won amazing clients such as LV, Amex, Converse, Premier Inn, Ted Baker, Russel & Bromley and Sky.

This year IPG completed the $2bn acquisition of data marketing services company Acxiom, which has delivered us an unequalled resource to help win new, and grow existing, client business worldwide.

Recently Interpublic Group were awarded The Company Award by Women in Marketing. We were called out for this award for our OPEN D&I programme and UKbyUM research, both of which work to break down stereotypes in advertising.

The launch of OPEN has been a huge part of 2018! We saw month long celebrations for Pride and Black History Month, and have hosted top class lecturers from Goldsmiths University, constructed art exhibitions, and heard talks from a whole range of public figures, from Reggie Yates to Munroe Bergdorf and Nigel Owens. We’ve heard from industry experts and delivered ground-breaking insights that have made the papers!

We have seen the Initiation of our Women’s Network:

This group of change makers includes representatives from across the business and will work together to drive the OPEN Women’s Network activities, supported by ambassadors from across the network as well.

There have been many initiatives introduced this year, such as the recent changes to maternity and paternity pay, the Parent Buddy Scheme, parental coaching, and providing mentoring opportunities for those from minority groups through the Exchange Project.

It’s been a big year, and we should all be so proud of what we have achieved as a community. Moving into 2019, let’s keep the momentum moving at warp speed and continue to be ‘The Talk of the Town.’
