Wave 9 Lands with a Bang

We were very excited to hold our  IPG Mediabrands Breakfast Social event last month, at which Glen Parker and Liz Haas revealed the latest findings from our Wave 9 study and Craig Lister formally launched our brand new social agency, Mediabrands Society.

For those who couldn’t attend, the morning began with breakfast and an intro from Caroilne, followed by a presentation of Wave that saw a guest appearance from Daryl Lee.  Craig then took to the stage to tell clients about our Society proposition, before hosting an animated panel discussion involving  Facebook, Twitter and the Economist.

What really made this event stand out (‘the best agency event I’ve ever been to’ – according to Facebook!) was the interactive exhibition that we hosted with our media owner partners. It involved everything from a human pinboard to a Snapchat claw machine and gave guests a real hands-on eperience of the platforms we had been discussing.

Needless to say, the morning was a great success.  300 guests attended, 80+ of which were IPG Mediabrands clients, including Coca-Cola, Barclaycard, Amazon, J&J, Mizkan and Marie Curie. To top it all off we had a huge total of 977,568 social impressions across all social media channels – and press coverage all over EMEA.
