The UK’s media research community was celebrated last week at the annual Mediatel Media Research Awards.

IPG Mediabrands Marketing Sciences were successful in winning two prestigious awards, including Best Social Media Project for their Social Fingerprinting tool and Best Use of Data Sets alongside ITV for the ‘Putting the Science Into Social Planning’ project.

Putting the Science into Social Planning project was a collaboration between ITV and Marketing Sciences to quantify the impact of social activity on TV viewership in a more accurate and granular way than ever before. The project involved involving ingesting and analysing literally billions of data points to create a powerful analytics engine that guides ITV’s social media strategy.

Mediabrands Marketing Sciences would like to extend their congratulations to ITV and thanks to the IPG Mediabrands’ UK IT team on whose on-going support they rely.

Hosted by Mediatel, the awards recognise and celebrate those organisations and individuals that are driving innovation and development in UK media research. The ceremony took place last week at Banking Hall in central London.
